The three cups
Cup 1: Step Back
Step Back, Letter · 3 back: keeping a short list moving through your mind. 23 letters, 6 of them matches; letters used: C, F, H, K, N, R, T.
Tip: Do not chase a missed match. The next item is already on its way.
Cup 2: Flash Grid
Flash Grid, Medium: holding a scattered pattern for a second. The first pattern has 5 tiles on a 4 × 4 grid and stays lit for 1.1 s.
Tip: Tap the tiles you are sure of first, then the doubtful one. A wrong first tap costs the whole round.
Cup 3: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Hard: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 6 colours and word buttons; the first card is the word ‘red’ in yellow ink.
Tip: Let your eyes rest on the edge of the letters, where the ink is, rather than reading the middle of the word.
