The three cups
Cup 1: Light Trail
Light Trail, Medium: keeping an order of shapes and notes. The first trail is 3 steps long on 6 panels; each panel glows for 0.44 s.
Tip: Listen as well as look. Each panel always plays the same note, so a trail is also a little tune.
Cup 2: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Mixed: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 2 × 2.
Tip: Round and adjust: 38 + 47 is 40 + 47 minus two.
Cup 3: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Go or stop: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.5 and 3.02 s, and 3 of those eight signals say Stop.
Tip: Play several rounds in a row on the same device before you judge a result; single rounds vary.
