The three cups
Cup 1: Step Back
Step Back, Letter · 2 back: keeping a short list moving through your mind. 22 letters, 6 of them matches; letters used: C, F, K, L, N, R, T.
Tip: Do not chase a missed match. The next item is already on its way.
Cup 2: Number Span
Number Span, Backwards · Hard: carrying a number while it grows. The first number has 5 digits, each shown for 0.52 s; type it backwards.
Tip: For backwards, build the number in pairs from the end while it is still appearing, rather than reversing it all at the last moment.
Cup 3: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Hard: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 5 × 5 to 7 × 7; differences: a dot more or less ×4, a smaller symbol ×3, a turned symbol ×2, a ring with its gap moved ×2, a mirrored symbol ×1.
Tip: Resist checking symbols one at a time. Let your gaze rest loosely on the whole grid; quite often the different one steps forward on its own.
