The three cups
Cup 1: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Multiplication: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 5 × 4.
Tip: A skipped problem costs less time than a long stare. Press OK and keep the rhythm.
Cup 2: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Left or right: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.24 and 2.62 s.
Tip: In go-or-stop, wait for the word as well as the colour. A held tap on Stop is part of the score.
Cup 3: Light Trail
Light Trail, Medium: keeping an order of shapes and notes. The first trail is 3 steps long on 6 panels; each panel glows for 0.44 s.
Tip: Listen as well as look. Each panel always plays the same note, so a trail is also a little tune.
