The three cups
Cup 1: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Simple: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.32 and 3.47 s.
Tip: Look at the panel, not at your finger. The change is easier to catch straight on.
Cup 2: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Addition: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 3 + 6.
Tip: A skipped problem costs less time than a long stare. Press OK and keep the rhythm.
Cup 3: Number Span
Number Span, In order · Easy: carrying a number while it grows. The first number has 3 digits, each shown for 0.8 s.
Tip: The numbers never repeat a digit twice in a row and never run in steps like 4-5-6, so you do not need to guard against those.
