The three cups
Cup 1: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Simple: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.73 and 3.18 s.
Tip: In go-or-stop, wait for the word as well as the colour. A held tap on Stop is part of the score.
Cup 2: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Addition: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 4 + 6.
Tip: For subtraction, count up from the smaller number instead of down from the larger one.
Cup 3: Light Trail
Light Trail, Easy: keeping an order of shapes and notes. The first trail is 3 steps long on 4 panels; each panel glows for 0.52 s.
Tip: Say the trail quietly to yourself by shape: circle, star, drop. Words travel further than pictures for many people.
