Cups in this set
Each cup counts when you play it at the level shown here.
Set #42 sits between the gentle and the strong sets, a good everyday cup.
In this pot: hold it in mind, a steady eye, quick hands. It opens with Flash Grid and finishes with Ink & Word.
What is in the pot
| Cup | Game | Level | First task | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Flash Grid | Easy | 3 tiles on 3 × 3 | about 2 min |
| 2 | Reaction Time | Left or right | waits 2.28–3.52 s | about 1 min |
| 3 | Ink & Word | Medium | ‘orange’ in yellow | about 1 min |
The three cups
Cup 1: Flash Grid
Flash Grid, Easy: holding a scattered pattern for a second. The first pattern has 3 tiles on a 3 × 3 grid and stays lit for 1.11 s.
Tip: When the grid grows, split it in your head into halves and remember which half held more light.
Cup 2: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Left or right: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 2.28 and 3.52 s.
Tip: Breathe out while you wait. A tense hand jumps early more often than it reacts faster.
Cup 3: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Medium: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 6 colours; the first card is the word ‘orange’ in yellow ink.
Tip: Let your eyes rest on the edge of the letters, where the ink is, rather than reading the middle of the word.
Every cup in set #42 has a fixed seed, so anyone who opens this set gets the same patterns, trails, sums and waits. Your own ticks and results are kept only in this browser.
