Each cup counts when you play it at the level shown here.
A medium brew: the levels sit in the middle, with enough in each cup to keep you honest.
In this pot: a steady eye, counting. It opens with Odd One Out and finishes with Quick Sums.

The three cups
Cup 1: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Hard: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 5 × 5 to 7 × 7; differences: a smaller symbol ×4, a mirrored symbol ×3, a dot more or less ×2, a ring with its gap moved ×2, a turned symbol ×1.
Tip: Sweep in rows when it does not pop out. Rows are easier to keep track of than a wandering search.
Cup 2: Step Back
Step Back, Position · 2 back: keeping a short list moving through your mind. 22 squares, 6 of them matches, on 8 places of the board.
Tip: Say the last items under your breath and drop the oldest each time: ‘K, R’ becomes ‘R, T’.
Cup 3: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Division: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 12 ÷ 3.
Tip: A skipped problem costs less time than a long stare. Press OK and keep the rhythm.
