Cups in this set
Each cup counts when you play it at the level shown here.
Set #74 sits between the gentle and the strong sets, a good everyday cup.
In this pot: a steady eye, quick hands. It opens with Ink & Word and finishes with Odd One Out.
What is in the pot
| Cup | Game | Level | First task | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ink & Word | Medium | ‘red’ in purple | about 1 min |
| 2 | Reaction Time | Left or right | waits 1.22–3.34 s | about 1 min |
| 3 | Odd One Out | Medium | 4 × 4 to 6 × 6 | about 1 min |
The three cups
Cup 1: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Medium: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 6 colours; the first card is the word ‘red’ in purple ink.
Tip: On the hardest level, learn the button order in the first few seconds. It stays the same for the whole game.
Cup 2: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Left or right: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.22 and 3.34 s.
Tip: Breathe out while you wait. A tense hand jumps early more often than it reacts faster.
Cup 3: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Medium: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 4 × 4 to 6 × 6; differences: a ring with its gap moved ×4, a dot more or less ×3, a turned symbol ×3, a mirrored symbol ×2.
Tip: Resist checking symbols one at a time. Let your gaze rest loosely on the whole grid; quite often the different one steps forward on its own.
