The three cups
Cup 1: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Medium: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 4 × 4 to 6 × 6; differences: a mirrored symbol ×4, a dot more or less ×3, a turned symbol ×3, a ring with its gap moved ×2.
Tip: Care pays more than haste: each wrong tap adds two seconds, longer than most rounds last.
Cup 2: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Left or right: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 2.27 and 3.34 s.
Tip: In go-or-stop, wait for the word as well as the colour. A held tap on Stop is part of the score.
Cup 3: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Medium: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 6 colours; the first card is the word ‘orange’ in red ink.
Tip: Keep a finger hovering over the middle of the buttons so every colour is the same short move away.
