The three cups
Cup 1: Light Trail
Light Trail, Medium: keeping an order of shapes and notes. The first trail is 3 steps long on 6 panels; each panel glows for 0.44 s.
Tip: Listen as well as look. Each panel always plays the same note, so a trail is also a little tune.
Cup 2: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Hard: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 5 × 5 to 7 × 7; differences: a ring with its gap moved ×5, a mirrored symbol ×4, a dot more or less ×2, a smaller symbol ×1.
Tip: Resist checking symbols one at a time. Let your gaze rest loosely on the whole grid; quite often the different one steps forward on its own.
Cup 3: Number Span
Number Span, Backwards · Hard: carrying a number while it grows. The first number has 5 digits, each shown for 0.52 s; type it backwards.
Tip: Type steadily; there is no clock while you answer.
