Medium brew · three games · about 4 minutes
Cups in this set
Each cup counts when you play it at the level shown here.
This pot is steeped a little longer. Expect middle levels and one or two moments that ask for care.
In this pot: hold it in mind, a steady eye. It opens with Light Trail and finishes with Ink & Word.
What is in the pot
| Cup | Game | Level | First task | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Light Trail | Medium | 3 steps, 6 panels | about 2 min |
| 2 | Odd One Out | Easy | 3 × 3 to 5 × 5 | about 1 min |
| 3 | Ink & Word | Medium | ‘orange’ in red | about 1 min |
The three cups
Cup 1: Light Trail
Light Trail, Medium: keeping an order of shapes and notes. The first trail is 3 steps long on 6 panels; each panel glows for 0.44 s.
Tip: Group long trails into twos and threes, the way you would remember a phone number.
Cup 2: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Easy: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 3 × 3 to 5 × 5; differences: a dot more or less ×5, a different shape ×4, a turned symbol ×3.
Tip: Sweep in rows when it does not pop out. Rows are easier to keep track of than a wandering search.
Cup 3: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Medium: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 6 colours; the first card is the word ‘orange’ in red ink.
Tip: Let your eyes rest on the edge of the letters, where the ink is, rather than reading the middle of the word.
