The three cups
Cup 1: Flash Grid
Flash Grid, Medium: holding a scattered pattern for a second. The first pattern has 5 tiles on a 4 × 4 grid and stays lit for 1.1 s.
Tip: When the grid grows, split it in your head into halves and remember which half held more light.
Cup 2: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Easy: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 4 colours; the first card is the word ‘yellow’ in yellow ink.
Tip: Keep a finger hovering over the middle of the buttons so every colour is the same short move away.
Cup 3: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Left or right: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.3 and 3.48 s.
Tip: Look at the panel, not at your finger. The change is easier to catch straight on.
