The three cups
Cup 1: Flash Grid
Flash Grid, Medium: holding a scattered pattern for a second. The first pattern has 5 tiles on a 4 × 4 grid and stays lit for 1.1 s.
Tip: Look at the shape, not the tiles one by one. Three tiles often make a corner, a little line or a triangle that is easier to keep than three separate spots.
Cup 2: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Simple: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.5 and 3.52 s.
Tip: Play several rounds in a row on the same device before you judge a result; single rounds vary.
Cup 3: Step Back
