The three cups
Cup 1: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Easy: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 3 × 3 to 5 × 5; differences: a dot more or less ×7, a different shape ×3, a turned symbol ×2.
Tip: Resist checking symbols one at a time. Let your gaze rest loosely on the whole grid; quite often the different one steps forward on its own.
Cup 2: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Easy: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 4 colours; the first card is the word ‘red’ in yellow ink.
Tip: A wrong tap costs a full second, so a calm correct tap beats a quick wrong one.
Cup 3: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Simple: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.39 and 3.2 s.
Tip: In go-or-stop, wait for the word as well as the colour. A held tap on Stop is part of the score.
Every cup in set #4 has a fixed seed, so anyone who opens this set gets the same patterns, trails, sums and waits. Your own ticks and results are kept only in this browser.
