Tea set #160
Light brew · three games · about 4 minutes
Cups in this set
Each cup counts when you play it at the level shown here.
A light brew to start with. All three cups are poured at gentle levels, so this set is about settling in rather than stretching.
In this pot: hold it in mind, a steady eye, counting. It opens with Flash Grid and finishes with Ink & Word.
What is in the pot
| Cup | Game | Level | First task | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Flash Grid | Easy | 3 tiles on 3 × 3 | about 2 min |
| 2 | Quick Sums | Subtraction | 10 − 6 | about 1 min |
| 3 | Ink & Word | Easy | ‘blue’ in blue | about 1 min |
The three cups
Cup 1: Flash Grid
Flash Grid, Easy: holding a scattered pattern for a second. The first pattern has 3 tiles on a 3 × 3 grid and stays lit for 1.11 s.
Tip: Look at the shape, not the tiles one by one. Three tiles often make a corner, a little line or a triangle that is easier to keep than three separate spots.
Cup 2: Quick Sums
Quick Sums, Subtraction: steady mental arithmetic against a gentle clock. Sixty seconds; the first problem is 10 − 6.
Tip: A skipped problem costs less time than a long stare. Press OK and keep the rhythm.
Cup 3: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Easy: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 4 colours; the first card is the word ‘blue’ in blue ink.
Tip: On the hardest level, learn the button order in the first few seconds. It stays the same for the whole game.
Every cup in set #160 has a fixed seed, so anyone who opens this set gets the same patterns, trails, sums and waits. Your own ticks and results are kept only in this browser.
