The three cups
Cup 1: Reaction Time
Reaction Time, Simple: waiting calmly and moving the instant something changes. The first eight waits fall between 1.26 and 3.47 s.
Tip: Play several rounds in a row on the same device before you judge a result; single rounds vary.
Cup 2: Ink & Word
Ink & Word, Easy: keeping your eye on the ink while the word pulls the other way. Forty-five seconds with 4 colours; the first card is the word ‘yellow’ in green ink.
Tip: On the hardest level, learn the button order in the first few seconds. It stays the same for the whole game.
Cup 3: Odd One Out
Odd One Out, Easy: searching a grid calmly for the one thing that differs. Twelve rounds on grids from 3 × 3 to 5 × 5; differences: a dot more or less ×5, a different shape ×4, a turned symbol ×3.
Tip: Sweep in rows when it does not pop out. Rows are easier to keep track of than a wandering search.
