Keeping the kettle on
Every game at this tea table is free, and not one wants a sign-up from you. Still, somebody pays for the hosting, the web address and the evenings that go into pouring new tea sets and checking four languages, so here is how that works, minus any small print.
Adverts, always in a marked corner
Pages meant for reading over a cup, not for playing (the home page, the game list, the tea-set lists, the rules hub and the guides) each keep one or two corners for an advert. Every corner wears a small “Advertisement” label so it never poses as Tea Break Brain’s own text, and its height is set aside before anything loads, so the words around it stay put.
Those corners are being wired up to Google AdSense, which has not been switched on yet. Until it is, each corner shows a short note from us; no outside advert appears and no advertising code runs on any page.
Sponsors for a game or a run of tea sets
A company may also back a single game or a run of tea sets directly. Whatever it backs carries a plain “Sponsored by…” line naming the backer, right on that part of the page. The label is all a sponsor gets: no say over levels, scores or a single word we write.
Nobody sponsors anything here yet. The first sponsor’s name will show up only next to the game or the tea sets it pays for.
What stays off the table, whatever the offer
- Adverts inside a game, on its tiles, over its buttons, or wedged up against a round in progress.
- Paid shortcuts, extra tries or any other edge: each game and level plays the same for everyone.
- Selling or passing on what you do here. Results stay in your own browser, as the privacy page sets out.
- Pop-ups that jump out over a round you have half finished.
Talk to us about an advert or a sponsorship
Companies that want to advertise on Tea Break Brain, or to sponsor a game or a run of tea sets, can write to hello@teabreakbrain.com. Questions about anything on this page go to the same inbox.
What will change about cookies once adverts are switched on is spelled out on the privacy page.
